This quilt is made up of 6 different blocks that use 6 different machine appliqué techniques, each
block is repeated 8 times to make a single bed quilt. The techniques used are: Crazy patchwork,
bias work, sketchy, invisible, machine fancy stitch and 3 D appliqué. Joined together - quilt as you
 go and finished with a beautiful scalloped and piped binding. Make 2 of each block from scraps to
make a fun table runner. (Please note: Vliesofix is Fusible Web)

Requirements, based on 112 cm (44”) wide cotton patchwork fabrics)
For each set of 8 blocks you will need:
2 different backgrounds:  30 cm (1/3 y) of each, (or 55 cm (2/3 y) of 1 background)
1 backing fabric:   55 cm (2/3 y) each set of 8 blocks has a different backing
Double sided fusible cotton batting 2.4 m (94”) wide:  25 cm (12”)

Additional requirements for the individual blocks:
Block 1: 20 cm (8”) of 2 different florals, 60 cm (3/4y) of freezer paper, monofil,
  bobbinfil, water soluble glue stick or glue pen, small paint brush.
Block 2: 30 cm (12”) for petals, 10 cm (4”) for flower centres, 40 cm (16”) of vliesofix
  2 shades of rayon machine embroidery thread, bobbinfil, size 75 machine
  embroidery   needles, 50 cm (1/2y) of medium weight iron on tearaway.
Block 3: 50 cm ( 1/2y) of fabric for bias, 6 mm (1/4”) bias maker,
  5 mm (1/4”) wide double stick fusible tape, bobbinfil, monofil, size 60 machine needles.
Block 4: 35 cm (14”) for outer petals, 10 cm (4”) for inner petals,
  10 cm (4”) for leaves, darker shade of thread for stitching  petals and leaves,
  size 80 quilting needles.
Block 5: 50 cm (1/2y) for petals, 30 cm (12”) for leaves, 10 cm (4”) for the flower centres,
  template plastic, monofil, bobbinfil, dark green to stitch leaves.
Block 6: 45 cm (1/2y) of plain homespun for crazy patchwork base, 5 cm (2”) of
  7 fabrics for the crazy patchwork, left over bias from block 3, monofil, bobbinfil,
  size 60 needles, 40 cm of vliesofix.

To finish the quilt you will need:
1.9 m (2 ¼ y) for the border top, 1.9 m (2 ¼ y) for the border back, 1.1 m (1 ¼ y) of fusible batting,
1.5 m (1 ¾ y) for the trams, 75 cm (1 y) of medium fabric for the binding, 50 cm (1/2y) of a dark
fabric for the piping, 9 m (11y) of OO piping cord, 1” bias maker, to apply the trams you will
need either 1 m ( 1 y) of vliesofix  or fabric glue baste.
